American Idol-Eight Becomes Seven

One more Idol hopeful leaves tonight, who will it be? Will the judges bust out their save? They’ve only got a few more chances to use it! (Remember it must be used before the final five or it can’t be used at all.) Tune in with me, Katy, at 9 EDT to find out more!
Ryan Seacrest jokes with Simon and shows a video of a song that was at the top of the charts the year Simon was born. It’s Frankie Avalon’s “Venus” and as the judges and audience watch, the stage opens up to reveal Frankie live. All the judges are genuinely surprised and give him a standing ovation. Simon comments that Frankie and Ryan look like twins.
The group song is Kylie Minougue’s “Can’t You Outta My Head” from 2002, the year Idol was born. This really isn’t a song to showcase singing. And you can really tell. There are some seriously flat notes floating around there. Poor Scott, having to be lead around the stage as they attempt to dance.
After the commercial there was a BTS for the Ford video, boring.
And now, results. Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, and Anoop are all standing up. Ryan let’s Randy, Kara and Paula respond to Adam’s performance as they weren’t able to last night.. Adam is safe. Anoop Desai is in the bottom three again (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!) and Kris is safe.
Performance by someone called Flo Rida, sorry, but rap really isn’t my genre.
Back to the results. Danny stands up. And sits down again. I’m sorry, I want to like him, but I just can’t. Matt stands up. Matt is safe, after Ryan toys with him some. Scott stands. I’m calling it, bottom three. And I’m right. Allison and Lil are both standing. Allison is safe and Lil is in the bottom three. Simon says there are a couple, one in particular they would save. Brad thinks it’s Scott, but I think with Lil there, it would be her.
Performance by season five alumnus, Kellie Pickler.
Bringing all three to the stage. One gets to go to safety. Lil Rounds is safe. More after the break. *bites nails*
Back, still on edge. Only 30,000 votes seperate them. Scoot is out. *thanks deities* Will the judges save him? He’s sounding better than last night so far. But there went the crack in his voice. Paula is standing and dancing. But then when doesn’t she? The falsetto was AWFUL. Don’t save him, please. He’s decent, but not worth the save. Simon says the decision is spilt 2-2. Simon is stepping up and saying no save. So long, Scott. I’m sure you have a career.
