Cross Posting to LiveJournal

live journal logThe one incoming search I get consistently is for a post I made a long time ago about the live journal cross posting plugin for wordpress LJXP.  LJXP for a time didn’t work at all in 2.3.x and above and I hosted my hacked version of the plugin.  To make a long story short LJXP was finally upodated shortly after WordPress 2.5 came out and it worked beautifully again and I removed my hacked version.

Now that Wordpress 2.7 is out another even better crossposter is out, called JournalPress.  This LiveJournal cross poster has one very significant improvement, it will hold information for multiple journals including communities.

For those still searching for the MySpace crossposter plugin, I did get it to work with wordpress 2.5, but have not tried it with 2.7 yet.  i will keep you updated on that.
