LJ and MySpace X-Posting Plugins

March 13, 2008

I am testing the MySpace Crossposter Plugin the LiveJournal Crossposter Plugin for WordPress. My Current WP Version is 2.3.3 and the plugins are both the latest versions.

Test results:

I managed to get the LiveJournal plugin to work just fine.  I am still having issues with the MySpace plugin.  I have contact the creator and asked for support.  I believe it is an issue with how I setting up the options and how they are named in by yahoo hosting.  If anyone else can get this to work I would be extremely grateful for a heads up.

This has become a rather popular thread again so let me say that both of these plugins work. They will not work with every server or hosting provider, but they do work.

Download the latest version of each plugin:
    LJXP
    MySpace XP

The MSXP requires you to interact with your mssql database and you must set it for localhost when it asks for the address. The second problem I am having is more of just an annoyance, you get a crossposting error with some installs of wordpress. There is a simple workaround though. If you post to your blog via Scribefire you get a perfect crosspost everytime.
