2) Off and On for 3 years
3) About 2 dozen, my favorite has been down and shuffled around a bit but is back Whatever by John Scalzi John is also one of my favorite fiction authors and I highly recommend “Old Man’s War”
4) People throwing around Hip Hop Slang, Ghetto Speak, and Pop Culture References they obviously don’t understand in order to try and be cool.
5) It is cheaper than therapy.

1) It depends. I use a nick for all my log ins, but most everyone knows me as Katy.

3) Too many too count, Livejournal is my fav, with IMDB coming a close second.
4) Fandom wank (though that can be fun), character bashing, ship bashing.
5)It’s cheaper than therapy and I’ve found a community of like minded people.

I’ve been blogging since about 2000 on various platforms. I started on LiveJournal, but now have my own domain and use WordPress
3 How many blogs do you read regularly and what is your favorite?
I read probably 10-15 through my google reader on a daily basis. My favorites are my friends PrissyCook and MKinMotion
4 What is the most annoying thing about other people’s blogs?
Crappy headers or default templates… customize, people!
5 Why do you blog?
My blog has an underlying foodie theme, so I love bouncing recipes off people, and getting them in return. I find myself being more daring with my cooking knowing that I get to photograph it and blog about it!
1: Do you use your real name or a nickname when you blog?
I use a handle. In fact, I use one handle for all my fanly and personal blogging, and another for professional blogging. Yes, I have a part-time job blogging, and I love it. Several people in each world know my real name, but not too many.
2: How long have you been blogging?
I got my LJ account in September of 2004. I started as a professional just over a month ago (September, 2007)on two blogs powered by WordPress.
3: How many blogs do you read regularly and what is your favorite?
I keep up with my flist on LJ, and read about a dozen or so others to keep up with the worlds I blog in. I read most of the Manolo blogs (Hey, he signs my paycheck!), A Dress A Day, Getting Married From the Inside Out, and Godawful Wedding Crap the most. Fun stuff.
4: What is the most annoying thing about other people’s blogs?
Small-mindedness, deliberate nastiness toward those who respectfully disagree, inability to spell.
5: Why do you blog?
My personal blog started because I had so many friends on LJ who I couldn’t seem to find anymore on Yahoogroups, etc., so it was a good way to keep up with friends and fics, though I use mine very rarely for fandom issues. As for the professional…I need the money and really enjoy getting paid to write in whatever format. Getting paid to have opinions and express them is beyond fabulous!
