Charges In Nicole Smith Death Economic Woes For Shows Spoilers

Long  time  no gossip. Apologies to all What’s Hot fans, but here we go! Spoilers for HIMYM, House, Heroes, Bones, NCIS and Chuck.

Howard K Stern and two doctors have been charged with conspiring to supply drugs to Anna Nicole Smith prior to her February 2007 death. Charges include conspiracy, unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance and prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict. “These individuals repeatedly and excessively furnished thousands of prescription pills to Anna Nicole Smith, often for no legitimate medical purpose,” California Attorney General Jerry Brown said in a statement. Stern faces six felony counts, the doctors face seven each.

The economy is proving to be hard on television shows as well as ordinary people. Sesame Street recently announced that it was cutting twenty percent of it’s staff because of the recession. And on the Today show, Matt Lauer will be staying at home rather than traveling the world this year. “Where in the World is Matt Lauer” is being shelved because according to the AP it “sends the wrong message” to take a flashy trip around the globe. Instead the show will be focusing on affordable trips to destinations within the US.

Spoiler time, all courtesy of Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello. The storyline with Wilson’s brother on House will not be forgotten next season. And the cast will “pretty much” stay the same according to creator David Shore. Ali Later is not going anywhere on Heroes. According to Bryan Fuller her character Tracy has some interesting stuff coming up. On Bones, Cam has a great episode coming up featuring a dead ex boyfriend who was the love of her life. Allison Hannigan has finally gone on maternity leave but the writers at HIMYM assure us that Lily’s absence is dealt with in a funny way. And they are also ironically talking about Lily and Marshall having a baby. NCIS is going to be giving viewers information on Gibbs, both in the in show and in the upcoming spin-off. And on Chuck, we have these things to look forward to: Multiple weddings, a shocking death the return of Jeffster, Bryce and the Awesome and a game changing twist that will (hopefully) launch the show into season 3.
