Chinese health officials have confirmed that a father caught bird flu from his son in December, according to a report released Tuesday.

Just in time for the Olympics China has confirmed the first known person to person case of bird flu. Will our athletes be safe, more important will we be safe to let them back in the country? We are at a point where close contact an overwhelming world population centered in densely packed urban areas is going to be a major problem. I worry as we continue to impoverish ourself as a nation and make leaving these densely packed urban areas difficult for all but the affluent, that we are setting ourselves up for another black death. I am all for planetary population control, but not like that.
