Alcohol mixed with emotion is usually a bad thing. Reactionaries in the US are pissed because Absolute Vodka used a pre 1848 map of Mexico which included much of the west including California in an ad campaign aimed at the Mexican market in Mexico. Then when outraged reactionaries whined they pulled it. I for one being a former resident of California could care less if California is incensed over the ad or not.
What I do care about is the amount of rising violence between whites and Hispanics in all the border states. I fear one day we could easily end up with a situation much like the one in America Libre by Raul Ramos Y Sanchez. He is worried about it too. The scenario begins with a terrible economy, demonstrations, and stupid political decisions. Does any of that sound familiar? if you are a fan of alternative history this is the book for you.
More than just pissed off Californians and disgruntled whites here at home we need to look at the things that separate us as people worldwide. Rather than becoming closer together over the last several decades we have grown further apart. Dreams of a unifying peaceful world government were once the hopes of school kids. Now have thoughts of micro nationalism, hate and distrust that exceeds even vicious standards of cold war standards. it isn’t happening just here at home either, though there are plenty of movements to cover a hundred different scenarios.
