Another exciting edition of What’s Hot. I apologize for yesterday’s absence, but I had to take care of some real life things, but I’m back and raring to go! Today’s edition contains spoilers for House, Grey’s Anatomy and CSI:NY.
Janet Jackson has cancelled two concert appearances this week due to her health and there is rumor that more may get axed. The singer suddenly fell ill during a sound check in Montreal and was rushed to the hospital. Janet was released a couple of hours later, but no cause for her illness was disclosed. Ms. Jackson is currently on tour promoting her latest album, Discipline.
Christina Applegate, star of Samantha Who, opened up to Oprah about her cancer. “I just knew. I went home and they called me and… [said] ‘It came back positive,’” she said. “And I just — like right now I’m sitting here shaking remembering that moment.” The star made the tough decision to undergo a double mastetomy and is now “clean and clear of breast cancer” according to her doctors. I would like to take a moment to applaud Ms. Applegate and wish her further good health. I would also like to emphasize that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I urge all the female readers of What’s Hot to do regular self breast exams, even if you’re not at risk. If you have any questions, ask your health care professional, it’s your life you may be saving.
Finally some juicy spoliers from EW’s Michael Ausiello. Grey’s Anatomy: Callie and Erica’s secret love affair won’t be a secret much longer. Two of their collegues find out! And Alex and Izzie contemplate moving in together, or at least one of them does. Interesting news for fans of CSI: NY’s Lindsey and Danny, they’re going to be parents! Anna Bellknap’s real life bundle of joy has induced the writer’s to include the pregnancy in the show. The news will come in the 101st episode, tentatively slated for November 26th. And finally, on House, executive producer Katie Jacobs tells of an upcoming romantic story arc for Foreman and Thirteen. The pair “are going to be spending a serious amount of time together,” reveals Jacobs.
