How to Read a Movie Review

Although you get exposed to a number of movie reviews on any given day, it takes a skillful eye to spot the good ones and those that are not. What separates the good reviews from the bad ones?
A good movie review presents the good points of the film. Perhaps you are looking for reasons to watch a movie. It should present those. It might say the movie is good because of this and that. These good points will then help you make the decision whether to watch or not.
A good review also presents the bad points of the movie. If its sound really sucks, then a good review should say that. Otherwise, the viewers will learn about it and the critic who wrote about it will lose credibility. Pointing out the bad points of the movie is not rude. This is very important in order for the film industry to continue growing.
When you read a review, take a look at the things that you are interested in. The acting your favorite actors and actresses, the way they converted the book into film, the animation or the cinematography or perhaps the product endorsements in the film.
When the review talks about something you’re interested in, you have to evaluate the film if it’s worth watching or not. If it is, then head to the movie houses, buy your tickets and enjoy the show. If it’s not worth your time, then you can just wait for cable TV to show it.
