Simple Solution For the Big Irritations Bothering You

Here are a couple of my personal examples. It used to really bug me when I’d watch a baseball game and a player would hit a home run and then point to the skies as if to say ‘thank you God, I owe it to you’. Or I would see those young boys wearing their jeans down to the back of their thighs; I’d think, ‘what is the matter with these guys?’ Or I see someone on TV protesting one side or the other over abortion or gay marriages or the war. I’d have a fixed comment about everything.

The next time you catch yourself thinking about something that is bugging the heck out of you, something you’d really don’t want to waste time thinking about, do this. Find the basic thought. Depending on how much charge you have on the issue at hand, you will have a conversation about it that you ‘know’ is accurate. In my example it was ‘he thinks God is on his side but not the pitchers’ and ‘does he really think wearing his jeans like that will get him girls?’ It’s a statement you pretty much conclude is the ‘truth’. Here’s what to do. Set your pat interpretation aside and make up a new possible interpretation. All the things you make up are just that, made up. Maybe those ballplayers were acknowledging their loved ones in heaven and were thanking them for the joy in their life. Or maybe having his pants down so low make him feel more accepted by his friends and feeling better is better.

Then make up three other outrageous reasons but this time be as ridiculous as you can about with them, be sure you are having fun with it. He’s pointing at superman in the sky and he’s wearing his pants like that because he’s doing a scientific study about it.

And lastly make up a reason that where you would be perfectly happy with and make you feel really feel good about. The trick is to feel good about it. If your intension is to think of things that would make you feel better, happier and more joyful about, you will find far more flexibility in reaching your spontaneous ‘negative’ feeling interpretations.

The law of attraction provides so much insight into solving the small things in life and I would be delighted to share with you this very simple tool for ridding yourself of a real pain in the butt irritation. Every one is sparked by an emotion which gets triggered in you. If you can deliberately choose to feel better your self esteem will improve naturally.

The number of conversations and or interpretations we make are endless. And though I’m pretty good these days at utilizing this technique, it came up for me twice this week, both finals were held this week for Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. In both situations, my assumptions as to who the winners would be were incorrect. And there popped in the reasons why, the absolute reason why it turned out as such. And of course it isn’t necessarily so. We make them all up and we can make them up as pleasingly as our imagination allows.

The purpose of live is joy and since we are here for only a brief period, I say better to fill my experience with it as often as I can.
