BOTTOM LINE: This is a comic book movie cut above most of the rest, and despite a highly predictable last act, this is an entertaining piece of popcorn with a stellar performance from Robert Downey Jr. and a few anti-war messages thrown in for good measure.

THE GOOD: “Iron Man” doesn’t quite have the reputation of other comic book superheroes like Superman, Batman or Spiderman, but he does have a fascinating origin story in that Tony Stark (played with great wit and charm by Robert Downey Jr.) is in essence a war profiteer who sees the light when he learns his weapons are falling in to the wrong hands and he decides to do something about it. Captured in Afghanistan, he manages to break free from his captivity by building a cast iron suit with weapons and flying capabilities. When he returns to America with plans to cease all weapons manufacture for his company, partner Obadiah Stone (a very menacing Jeff Bridges) has other ideas, deciding to find the secret behind Stark’s designs to make the ultimate combat soldier. Make no mistake, this is a comic book movie but it somehow manages to throw in some anti-war messages, particularly in the very strong first act where Tony sees first hand how his life’s work is causing so much misery in the world. Robert Downey Jr. really makes this movie as good as it is, putting in a gravitating, witty performance as Tony Stark. He’s always fun to watch, and portrays the careless playboy extraordinarily well. Jeff Bridges is perfect as Stone, portraying right from the outset someone who you shouldn’t trust, and when he reveals himself, he’s a nasty piece of work. Gwyneth Paltrow is great as Stark’s assistant Pepper; she’s girly enough to be the apparent love interest but no so girlie to not be strong in the story. The design of Iron Man is very cool, and there are some great fun moments, particularly when Stark is testing the suit out before he completes it. “Iron Man” is a comic book movie with strong characters, solid action and a few strong themes that give it some extra dimension over other lesser comic book adaptations.

THE BAD: Once bad guy Stone is revealed for what he is and we enter the last act of the film, things become extremely predictable and essentially mimics the final acts of most superhero movies where Iron Man meets his match. After the stellar beginning, and coming to really enjoy Robert Downey Jr. command the screen, the climax of the film was a bit disappointing if only that it reverted to formula, became less believable, and didn’t provide anything new. I found myself tuning out to be perfectly honest, but then, this kind of film has to have an ending like this so I’m not sure if the filmmakers could have done any better. It’s a shame because the first three quarters of the film is quite engaging and unique (at least for a comic book movie).

What woman would not when looking to shave her vagina want to have the sexiest looking pubic hairstyle there is, that is, if all the pubic hair is not coming off. It is funny and hard to understand why women pay a fortune and tolerate such excruciating pain at times from waxing only to cover up their work of art. Okay fair enough if it is for your partner then understandable. How to find the sexiest pubic hairstyle may be difficult because what I may see as sexy you may not. The only way we can select an erotic pubic hair design or pubic hair pattern considered the sexiest is to list the options available and you take it from there.

If this is an impulse decision to shave off the pubes then you must consider the downsides if any to the particular process you have opted for. Maybe your boyfriend might be displeased with your choice so be sure to ask him. You also have to think about how you will feel after the sexiest pubic hairstyle has been created. Some women regret doing something like this, however not the end of the world as it is an issue that corrects itself over time when the pubic hair grows back. I personally can`t see the point myself in spending good money to have a pubic hair design that will in a couple of days surely look a complete mess when hair growth (stubble) reappears. Okay I know mind my own business and get on with it.

Common choices of pubic hair designs is the landing strip, heart shape and triangle patch. Of course if you have your own design in mind then have a word with the person designated for the job and see if they can accommodate you with your request. Nowadays nothing is really seen as too much trouble; however have a plan B just in case.

Less main stream shaved pubic hair styles like the lightning bolt, diamond shape are increasingly popular. In the name of fashion women will go to great lengths to keep up with trends regardless. To be fashionable in today`s society you need to invest in more than some up market designer or celebrity-look-alike accessories. In some cases of young girls it is about following suit of their idols like Naomi Campbell and Gwyneth Paltrow a couple of celebs who I believe host designer thatches, nonetheless you need to do this for you and no one else. These celebrities have the money to put things right should a pubic hairstyle go wrong.

There was time when women had a fetish for shoes, handbags and cosmetics but now we look more to the downstairs fetish so as to speak (the nether region.) History of pubic hair styles came about in 1617 where pubic wigs were worn by prostitutes to cover the signs of lice and venereal disease. How much truth in this I am not sure. In the seventies Britain`s Penthouse magazine exposes pubic hair for the first time in a pornographic magazine “albeit to the point of invisibility”. Hugh Hefner famously refused to show pubic hair in his Playboy magazine, while his rival publication, Penthouse, laid it out for all to see. Not sure should we British get a pat on the back for this or what. In middle seventies Rio de Janeiro beaches gave rise to the fashion phenomenon the string bikini. Nowadays this is nothing new, with the “thong” reportedly being the no 1 best selling underwear garment. But this is where the rot apparently set in with the Brazilian bikini bouncing onto the scene, hence drawing our attention to pubic hair. Hair styling of the pubes was truly born from this day and judging by statistics it is here to stay and for a very long time.

Now back to find you the sexiest pubic hairstyle.

Popular pubic hair styles for all tastes

The Arrow is Brazilian strip, with an arrowhead on the bottom.

The Bikini Bottom/Bikini Line – Just a tidy up where hair remains giving the effect of a bikini bottom shape when viewed from the front.

The Brazilian – The most renowned and popular pubic hair style of all – removing all but a very thin strip of pubic hair down the centre.

The Cardshark – Hair is shorn to leave a playing card design. Hot Favorite is Hearts then diamonds and spades but clubs are rarely sported. And apparently it’s not the done thing to centralize the design its normally seen to the side.

The Charlie Chaplin is a horizontal strip like a Chaplin mustache – also called the Hitler or Adolf.

The French involves removing a strip of hair both sides – less dramatic than a Brazilian.

The Hollywood/Lolita/Kojak/Yuk Brynner need I spell it out – All shaved or waxed off.

The Isoscelesis a triangular version of the French.

The Landing Strip usually referred to in Military circles as the Runway. Wider than a Brazilian, narrower than a French.

The Princess Cut – A vertical oval shape like an American Football or Rugby Ball deigned in the pubes.
There is a multitude of choices in pubic hair design but what you see as the sexiest pubic hairstyle may not be listed here. You need to browse specific magazines or visit a beauty salon or better still go online for information on sexiest pubic hairstyles.

Richly talented Rock artist Sheryl Crow has released her latest CD titled CMon CMon and Wow! It’s really a good one.

Unfortunately, it’s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can’t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with CMon CMon. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

Rock music fans will recognize some of the well known contributors on the project including Benmont Tench and Others plus a few other notables as well.

Listen and I think you’ll agree that the song choices are excellent, the production is outstanding and Sheryl Crow is clearly in top form.

While this entire CD is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 2 – Soak Up The Sun, track 12 – Hole In My Pocket, and track 13 – Weather Channel.

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – Steve McQueen. It’s a great track!

2. Soak Up The Sun

3. You’re An Original

4. Safe And Sound

5. C’mon, C’mon

6. It’s So Easy

7. Over You

8. Lucky Kid

9. Diamond Road

10. It’s Only Love

11. Abilene

12. Hole In My Pocket

13. Weather Channel

Personnel includes: Sheryl Crow (vocals, acoustic & electric guitars, accordion, piano, Wurlitzer piano, Fender Rhodes piano, Hammond B-3 organ, keyboards, Moog synthesizer, bass, maracas, tambourine, sound effects); Benmont Tench (vocals, piano, Hammond B-3 organ); Lenny Kravitz, Don Henley, Stevie Nicks, Emmylou Harris, Gwyneth Paltrow, Liz Phair (vocals); Jeff Trout (acoustic & electric guitars, bass, programming, loops); John Shanks (electric guitar. bass, sampling, loops); Wendy Melvoin (electric guitar);

[ad]What’s Hot is on top of all the latest, so here we go!

Oscar nominee, Joaquin Phoenix has stunned everyone by announcing that he is quitting acting in favor of pursuing a singing career. The actor dropped a bombshell to entertainment news show Extra, announcing that his recently wrapped film Two Lovers, with Gwyneth Paltrow, will be his last. “I want to take this opportunity… also to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor,” he said. “I’m not doing films anymore.” And it doesn’t seem like he’s joking either. Phoenix’s rep confirmed the news, stating, “That is what he told me.”

The other not so stunning announcement came from across the pond yesterday. British actor David Tennant, who is best known for playing The Doctor on the wildly popular Doctor Who for the last three years, announced that he is leaving. After filming the four specials that are to air next year in place of a regular season, Tennant will not be playing the Time Lord anymore. Fans of the show knew this day would come sooner or later and rumors have been circulating for quite some time as to who would fill Tennant’s shoes as the eleventh incarnation of The Doctor. Now speculation can truly begin. It wil be an interesting time for the show as the man responsible for the wildly popular reboot of the series, Russel T Davies stepped down after last season and is being replaced by Steven Moffatt, who has written the episodes “The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances” and “Blink”. So with two new faces in front of and behind the camera, what’s next for The Doctor? Time will only tell.

First off, it kicked ASS. Seriously.

Okay, now for the more in depth analysis. I went into this movie with some knowledge of the comic book history thanks to online friends. But I think even if you know nothing about the comics you can still enjoy this movie. It updates the story of Tony Stark and his journey to becoming Iron Man very well. Of course it’s even better if you know something about the comics and I’m sure all the Marvel fans went crazy for how utterly awesome this is.

It’s funny, especially the sequences where Tony is testing out the Iron Suit. You gotta feel for Robert Downey Jr. or whatever stuntman was doing those because they believably looked like they hurt. I must admit here to being a HUGE RDJ fangirl and he doesn’t disappoint as Tony Stark. He plays both the carefree millionaire genius playboy and the deeper more thoughtful genius revenge seeking man very well.

The action is edge of your seat gripping. It flows easily with all the other scenes. It is pulse pounding, knuckle biting action that surprisingly doesn’t rely heavily on CGI. And it works. I was literally biting my nails at some points. And kudos to all the stuntmen and effects people.

Plus, Gwyneth Paltrow was excellent as Pepper Potts. Yes, she was a little bit of the screaming heroine but she really held her own. Also, love love love that the film did not go there in terms of the heroine/female lead falling for the hero/male lead. It was very refreshing and hopefully will stay that way in the sequel (or sequels).

Sequel? Trust me, after the opening weekend this movie had there is no doubt that there will be a sequel. And if you still aren’t sure, stay through the end credits for an extra tidbit that leaves the door wide open for a follow up.
