It's Been Ten Years and Eight Seasons

Okay it has  been eight since the start of Idol and what can we remember from way back then?  Today’s funny video is from Roni and really takes me back further than thinking about Idol’s begining.  Thanks for this one Roni!  Follow her on Twitter: RonisWeigh

Here is s a quick list of what I have learned in seven seasons of American Idol.

  • Hollywood Week will have more train wrecks per episode than Amtrak has every decade
  • Paula Adbul will be a lot nicer to people that they deserve
  • People will boo Simon’s realistic opinion of what will succeed just to piss him off, then they complain how much the remaining contestants suck.
  • Anyone with creative genius will be voted off early as too risky for pop music.
  • There will inevitably be at least one potential teen idol who is worthless in every musical way, but will be kept around thanks to teenage girls and middle aged fat women thinking he is cute.
  • There will be at least four questionably gay idol contestants: One flamboyantly queer contestant, 2 straight guys who strut around like magnificent poofs, and one serious musician who gets voted off because he is too normal and the anti-gay movement don’t want gay seen as normal.
  • Last but not least the pretty blond girls will be voted off way too early.

I will be live blogging idol tonight here as will Katy.  Check back to see us go head to head in a battle worthy musically ecclectic spouses.

  1. That’s pretty funny. A bit strange, but funny.
